Last week a number of us here at Sorenson Media traveled to Las Vegas to attend the 2015 Consumer Electronic Show (CES). In an effort to make the most of the event we had a booth in the central hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center and a suite in the Palms Place Hotel. Here is a quick inside-look at the happenings of each.
Sorenson Media Booth – LVCC Central Hall
With the launch of our new website, new branding, and the Spark product suite in Q4 of 2014 – what better place to gain exposure than the largest trade show in the world? CES 2015 brought over 170,000 people to Las Vegas to get a glimpse of the latest technology and consumer electronics. Our booth, located in the central hall near Sony’s exhibit area, had a steady flow of traffic throughout the four-day show. Thanks to all those that came by to visit us!
At the booth we displayed the two distinct, yet related, sides of our business – Spark and Squeeze. As you can see in the image below, we had two videos playing highlighting the consumer benefits of each product suite. Our sofas also played a key role in attracting people to our booth – CES is hard on the feet!
Our team that managed the booth over the course of the event. We think the booth turned out really well.
We are very excited about the contacts we were able to make at the booth. We spoke with most of the major television networks, television manufacturers, and a large number of international broadcasters from all corners of the globe that were intrigued by our Spark product suite. Our booth was located in a subsection of the Central Hall that was titled “Streaming Content,” which also brought a lot of interest in our new Squeeze 360 product, a streaming solution for broadcasters & content owners. Additionally, there was significant interest from these content owners in Squeeze Server, our large volume encoding solution.
Penthouse Suite – Palms Place Hotel
Our business development and executive team spent most of their time hosting back-to-back meetings in our suite located at the Palms Palace, a tower of the Palms Hotel. A live demo of our Spark product suite was set up in the suite’s dining room where most of the meetings were held showing Spark Engage, Enhance, and Enlight. We were able to spend valuable time with both current and potential customers and partners.
Here is a look at the demo set up.
Overall CES 2015 was a big success for Sorenson Media. And the view wasn’t bad either.
Besides our own booth, here are some of our favorite things at CES.
