Sorenson Media at NYFEST 2016

Every year NYFEST organizes a full day charity soccer tournament where hundreds of players from all walks of media, entertainment, and advertising take the pitch. The location of this year’s event was one of the worlds most beautiful soccer pitches; Pier 5 at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

A portion of proceeds from 2016 NYFEST goes to America SCORES New York, a year-round after-school program consisting of soccer, poetry and service learning. Its mission is to inspire NYC youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students and have the courage and confidence to make a difference in the world. America SCORES New York partners with 12 public elementary and middle schools in West Harlem and Washington Heights, impacting over 450 students each year.

Team Sorenson contested with a vigorous team effort and after five hard-fought matches ended 5th in the tournament. Not bad for a first time contender. Needless to say that the third half was as good as the first two!
