Skills Required:

4+ years experience in object-oriented software engineering.

Experience developing software for small footprint devices.

IPhone, Android, and/or Blackberry software development experience.

Motivated self-starter with aggressive “go-getter” type attitude.

Ability to work and communicate well with others in a fast paced team environment.

BS Degree in CS, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Additional Skills Desired::

Experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, Ruby, C#, Objective C

Experience consuming and creating REST based services.

Experience with multimedia architectures: Flash, Windows Media, QuickTime, etc.

Experience with audio/video image processing and codec development.

Senior Sales Executive

Sorenson Media is looking for its next sales superstar to join the team in our San Diego office. We want an exceptional senior sales person with the skills and experience to identify new opportunities that fit the company's solution offering, manage opportunities from start to finish, and a hunter mentality - consistently finding new business. This person must have recent OVP, CDN, or enterprise software sales experience with a minimum of 2 years in a senior level sales position. We are looking for a proven track record of exceeding revenue goals and experience in closing large, complex software sales. To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about sales & video technology, highly motivated, a team player who can mentor junior staff, organized, and proactive in everything that you do. This position will report into the VP of Sales & Business Development but will also work closely with the president & entire San Diego executive team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a company with a history of innovation, privately held with a healthy balance sheet, multiple revenue streams, and a great story to tell.

Responsibilities

Consistently build a pipeline of new business through outbound calls, emails, and other prospecting efforts.

Manage self-generated and promoted opportunities from start to finish.

Prepare & deliver both in-person and online presentations & demonstrations.

Travel as necessary to meet with new potential customers nationwide.

Attend tradeshows, local conferences, and other event as needed.

Provide feedback to marketing, product, & engineering teams to identify trends and customer needs.

Work closely with the rest of the sales team, mentor junior staff.

Provide pipeline & activity reports to management on a regular basis.

Meet or exceed sales goals.

Qualifications:

Current or recent OVP, CDN, or enterprise software sales with a minimum of 2 years in that role.

Track record of exceeding revenue goals.

Significant experience closing large, complex software sales.

Must be a hunter Š able to consistently find new opportunities.

Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What you bring to the table:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science
