Peter Csathy
Peter Csathy
President & CEO
Peter is president and CEO of Sorenson Media. A 20-year digital media veteran, Csathy previously served as CEO of Internet video company SightSpeed, Inc., where he oversaw all aspects of the company's business. Csathy engineered the company's successful acquisition by Logitech, Inc. in late 2008. Previously, Csathy served as president and COO of digital music leader Musicmatch, Inc., where he was responsible for driving the company's distribution and content strategies, managing strategic partnerships, and overseeing the company's business development, sales, legal and finance activities. Yahoo! acquired Musicmatch in 2004. Prior to Musicmatch, Csathy served as COO of eNow, Inc. (later Relegence), a subscription-based technology company delivering breaking news and information. AOL acquired Relegence in 2006. Csathy also previously served as a senior vice president at Universal Studios and held executive positions at New Line Cinema and Savoy Pictures. In these roles, Csathy drove strategic distribution, content licensing, marketing and technology partnerships, international joint ventures, and acquisitions. Csathy received his J.D. from the Harvard Law School, and his B.A., summa cum laude, in political science from the University of Minnesota.

Eric brings a rare combination of marketing, digital media, technology and strategic experience to the role of COO at Sorenson Media. Previously, Quanstrom served as Vice President, Consumer Marketing and Business Development at SightSpeed, which was acquired by Logitech in October of 2008. Other past successes include roles as Director of Marketing & Sales for Appellation America, one of the most innovative online wine portals to hit the Web in years. Prior to this, Quanstrom held various management positions with DocuComp software and News Corporation, including an impressive stint as West Coast head of the Fox Online Properties (FoxSports.com, FoxNews.com, Fox.com). Quanstrom holds an MBA, Marketing from San Francisco State University and BA, Broadcast Journalism from San Diego State University.

VP, Business Development
Kirk creates strategic alliances and defines vertical market partnership opportunities to help drive the integration of the company's encoding and online video platform solutions. Kirk also oversees Sorenson Media's Los Angeles office with a focus on overcoming the complex video challenges faced by the media & entertainment community. Prior to his current role as vice president, Kirk served as director of sales, building the sales organization from the ground up and managing the day to day activities. Prior to Sorenson Media, Kirk held various sales and sales management positions with successful technology startups Avalara, Entellium, and Launchpad Marketing Group. Kirk attended Kansas State University where he majored in Radio/Television.
Mitchell Holyoak

Director of Software Development
As Sorenson Media's director of software development, Mitchell directs the company’s research & development of encoding technologies. Mitchell, who joined Sorenson Media in 1997, brings more than 20 years of digital video software development experience to his current role, including leadership in video encoding, decoding, video streaming, video conferencing, video conferencing gateways and video instruction software. Prior to joining Sorenson Media, he provided valuable architectural design to development teams at National Computer Systems. Mitchell has authored or co-authored several publications, and holds significant video patents related to work performed at Sorenson Media. He graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Trig Gullberg

Director of Squeeze Server Development
As director of Squeeze Server development, Trig leads Sorenson Media’s enterprise and cloud-based initiatives. Gullburg, who joined Sorenson Media in 2000, has extensive software development experience. Among other things, he helped develop Vcast, one of the first online video platforms; and Sorenson Communications’ VRS product, an industry-leading video relay service that empowers effective communication for members of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Gullburg has a rich background in software development, system architecture, management and consulting. With 10-plus years of experience in enterprise computing, he has worked, among other things, on high-performance computing as a senior consultant at IBM. Trig graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
Kevin Baker
Kevin Baker
Director of Development & Operations
As director of development and operations for Sorenson Media, Kevin is responsible for managing the company’s San Diego development team, and for directing software architecture and operations in support of Sorenson Media’s video solutions. Kevin has more than 15 years’ experience developing and architecting consumer and enterprise software solutions, including strong expertise in rich web applications, online social gaming, cloud technology and scalable video solutions. Prior to joining Sorenson Media, he worked as a web developer for Compaq and in the Intuit sales & marketing divisions. In 2000, Kevin co-founded San Diego software consulting company, Mission Vi, which focused on rich web and multimedia application development. Kevin entered the video space in 2005, when he joined Eyespot Corporation as chief software architect, guiding software architecture and technology decisions for the leading-edge startup that launched the world's first browser-based video editing platform. Kevin attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, graduating with a bachelor's degree in computer arts & animation.
Randon Morford

Director of Squeeze Desktop & Core Technology Development
Randon is the director of Squeeze desktop & core technology development at Sorenson Media, where he uses his extensive experience in video encoding tools and workflows for video professionals to shape Sorenson Media products into award-winning offerings with high customer satisfaction. Randon joined Sorenson Media in 2003. With his solid 12-year track record in the video compression industry, Randon is an influential voice in the online video space. Among other things, he was actively involved in laying the foundations for video in Flash and was a driving force behind h.264 encoding for professionals. Randon attended Utah Valley University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in multimedia and graphic design.
Chris Meyer

Director, Creative & Product Experience
Chris is a brand, web and user interface designer / developer with 15 years of experience. As director of creative & product experience, he leads Sorenson Media's approach to user interface, design and experience across all products. Meyer joined the team in 2008, and was responsible for a company wide rebranding, along with establishing the Creative department. Chris is a strong advocate of web standards, and simple to use UI. Prior to joining Sorenson, He served as senior UI director at pioneering online video editing company Eyespot, was the principle designer of Gizmo5 (acquired by Google), and was an original member of the MP3.com web design team. Chris's designs, along with Sorenson notoriety, have won a PC magazine Gold award, best video mixer, and have been used as instructional material in the UCSD cognitive science department. Chris holds a Bfa from UCSD. He is also an award winning composer.

Founder & Chairman of the Board
Jim is a nationally recognized business leader and entrepreneur who helped develop several new industry categories in today’s business world. When he founded Sorenson Media in 1995, Jim laid the foundation for the online video industry developing technology that enabled Apple QuickTime, Adobe Flash and YouTube to gain global prominence. He used his video compression expertise to create Sorenson Communications, the largest video relay service in the U.S. and transformed communication between deaf and hearing individuals vastly improving professional and personal opportunities for deaf individuals via the use of groundbreaking videophone technology. Over the past several decades, Jim has built a diverse array of highly productive industrial, commercial, residential, office and retail real estate holdings. In 2009, he led a team that acquired a $701 million structured portfolio of FDIC commercial real estate loans. Jim also co-founded Sorenson Capital, Utah’s leading mid-market private equity firm, which has raised more than $650 million to invest in U.S. companies. He also serves on the boards of a number of charities and community organizations.
