Sorenson Media announced today that Matt Timothy has joined the company as Chief Commercial Officer. Based in New York, NY, Timothy will be responsible for all customer facing aspects of Sorenson Media’s business including business development, sales and marketing.

Timothy’s expertise includes over 18 years of experience in the TV and advertising industry, including positions at CBS, National Cable Communications (NCC), BBE and most recently, video advertising solution provider Vindico. His broad and deep TV and advertising background is ideally suited to help drive the adoption of Sorenson’s recently launched Spark suite of advanced TV and analytics products.

As part of its continued expansion into the world of television, Sorenson Media launched its new Spark suite of digitally-enabled TV and analytics products in December 2014. The Spark suite consists of Spark Enlight, Spark Enhance and Spark Engage and heralds a dramatic expansion for the company into the world of digitally-enabled television.
Timothy joins Sorenson from Vindico Group, where he served as President for the last six years. In this role, Timothy helped guide Vindico’s growth from a startup to the leading video ad management platform. Under Timothy’s leadership, Vindico became the industry leader, managing 40% of the digital video market and serving as the trusted “go to” company that helped 350 major brand advertisers shift their TV campaigns to the digital world. Prior to working at Vindico, Timothy served as Senior Vice President of NCC Media, an ad sales, marketing and technology company that creates customized advertising programs and consultative media solutions for corporations and brands.
Timothy’s role as Chief Commercial Officer is effective December 1st 2014.
